Also, for my money, I'm taking the Stang, but I've been a Stang guy forever.

the new mustang commercial where the mustang changes colors for whoever is looking at it.... at the end of the commercial, a little girl is looking at it and it turns pink, then black (and the little girl has black angel wings in the reflection)! Yes, that's the one i think looks perfect! Black with cobra badges. I'm a very euro guy, but god damn i want to spend some time in the new stang!
    Engineers do it better.

That said, I'd love to own one of these cars for track use.

The ZL1 looks awesome, I'd have a difficult choice between that and a Corvette GS coupe. The new GT500 was disappointing at the auto show.

Where are these "driver oriented" Japanese cars you speak of and damn if my car isn't solely designed to be "passenger oriented". Sucks too.
A list of mods, all cars ever owned and something cribbed from a book, song and/or movie were all just here. Sorry you missed out on my unique, snowflake-like individuality.

The GS coupe corvette is hugely capable for the money, but any options will push it way past just 2k more than the ZL1.

I would assume that they appeal to two distinct parts of the crowd of buyers for a sports car. the corvette being a purer driving experience, smaller, lighter, etc. the camaro fulfilling more roles including having back seats/storage space.

The LSA engine is a hoot. And 600 pounds lighter than my Caddy, it probably performs pretty well too.

Nope, I looked up the numbers. The CTS-V wagon is 4400 pounds. The standard Camaro is 3800 pounds. I can't imagine that the gofast bits that the ZL1 option package includes are THAT heavy.

lol my Ford is like 4300 lbs. Cars have gotten far too heavy when a new sports coupe weighs as much as an old half-ton pick up.

I actually saw an orange ZL1 this morning on my way to work... I didn't have to time to pull out the trusty iPhone and take a pic as I was going to fast in the Juke to do so...

I honestly thought I would see him at the next light or two and I could snap a pic but the guy never showed, I am guessing he turned.

It is a monster looking machine but like many others, it doesn't do it for me... I think I am completely turned off the new Camaro due to how long it took them to actually release the thing. I am a Mustang guy but I love the Z06 and this is a cool Camaro and all but just doesn't do "it" for me.

Don't see what's so surprising when the CTS-V coupe weighs 4200, the GT500 will probably close 38-3900, and the GT-R is at 3900. The M6 will probably be around there too if not more than those mentioned.

LOL, pot calling the kettle black. The late SC Mustangs have always produced impressive numbers when modified...performance that does not translate to the track relative to other cars with similar power numbers.

Yeah, but that applies to all new cars. The proper way of framing it is the ZL1 was probably one of the fastest cars in that parking lot, and its not absurdly priced for that capability.

The Camaro imo has the best looking front end of any sports car currently on the market... and the worst rear end. Totally kills the car for me. But GD if that front end isn't amazing

A 500 whp Cobra is a solid mid 11 second car. How is that not in line with how other cars perform?

You realize that 964 dropped in value for years before reaching its current state, no? The Camaro will do the exact same two things on a different scale. Stop being an elitest and go back to your ultra-low posts-per-day average, please.
A list of mods, all cars ever owned and something cribbed from a book, song and/or movie were all just here. Sorry you missed out on my unique, snowflake-like individuality.
