Thread: Parts Diagrams

  1. 04-26-2012 01:31 AM #1
I hate to post this as I'm sure it is on this forum somewhere, but I'm unable to find it via search so bare with me.

I'm looking for a parts diagram with OEM part numbers for a 2003 Eurovan GLS. I just bought a van and it needs quite a few parts. None of the sites I've run across through google have offered parts diagrams and OEM part numbers. TIA.

If you go to http://www.europarts-sd.com, they don't have diagrams but they are in the habit of naming their .jpg pics of parts with the part number so you can sort of get it that way, provided it's a part in their catalog. For example:

File name is 034905207B_large.jpg so part number is probably 034905207B

Thanks, that's a start. I can't believe it is this hard to get parts info. I work in motorcycle land and can easily get the exact part number, pricing, availability, supersedes, diagrams, etc... for Ducati motorcycles back to 1999 and all the way back into the late 80's if you look hard enough. Ducati only sells 40,000 units a year - a tiny Italian company (which Audi group just bought). How can they be ahead of VW in this regard! Crazy.

VW(oA) likes to be a bit secretive, unfortunately. Online resources officially from VWoA are poor.

    You can also try this:
    http://diritobroswalnutcreekvwparts.com

It's a VW dealer but you can drill into parts there with some diagrams. Unfortunately though they don't seem to expose actual part numbers :-(

    There's also this:
    http://www.vwparts.com

Requires a login though and I don't have one so IDK if what's behind it is anything useful or not. There is also an outlet/clearance at http://www.vwparts.com/parts-outlet-center but not much shows up for Eurovans but when they do, they're usually a screaming deal. There are 6 items there now for Eurovans, deeply discounted.

The only other way to really get serious information is to make a friend with someone that has an ETKA which is VW's software for the parts catalog. Usually only dealers have this though but I guess make a friend with a dealer parts guy and maybe...well...

I created an account on vwparts.com - they then send you to https://www.partslink24.com/ where they say you can lookup all parts via diagrams. What I'm looking for it sounds like. It is $20 for a one day pass or $40/month. Might have to pay the $20 if I can't find anything better.

Thanks for the help thus far everyone.

Ah, yeah. They have some diagrams. No part numbers, but at least I can see that I'm getting the right items. Getting there... thanks again.

This website has diagrams and part numbers. Not everything is listed it seems, but quite a lot (4700 parts for the 2003 Eurovan).
