Use the 2.0 clutch and flywheel. I've got an A2 020 in my '98, and I'm using all the 2.0 stuff. The only issue is wiring the switch for the reverse lights, which is very easy to adapt.
If the PO already had a running ABA in the car, then the harnesses, ECU, etc in the car should all be ABA already, making this a direct bolt-in deal. It does beg the question though...what happened to the engine/trans that was in it before?
