Modshack vent mount + Ram x-grip FTW

I have an 06 A3 and I'm looking for phone holder options. Currently I have an iphone 3gs but that will likely change this summer. I saw a pretty slick vent mount somewhere but don't have a link.
What is everyone using? Open to ideas

I have this for my 4s:

I kind of wish I went with the angled version that sits on the passenger side in the same place. The phone is partially blocked by the steering wheel and overheats due to the vent blowing directly at it with the heat on. Have to move things around a bit to get it right.

^ exactly what I have. I have the 2" RAM arm that let's me move it around. I put mine on the driver's side vent to the left of the steering wheel. I went with the generic clamp-grip so I could use any of my cases and still fit in the mount.
In the winter I move it above the vent, and in the summer I move it in front of the vent.
Sorry, I'm terrible about taking pictures.

Thanks everyone, that gives me some great ideas. I kinda like that proclip mount, now just gotta figure out a holder for it ... or does it come with one?

yea a fellow a3'er gave me theirs- but unfortunately, the ball is too big for this TOMTom car kit. I've been searching for the ball that i can replace the Garmin one.
So i've been sticking to this Kuda Vent mount for A3 and fabricated the attachement of the Tom Tom car kit (Power is routed behind the H/U... So i simply plug in my iphone4 and Tomtom car kit bluetooth connects, while the iphone uses the car kit speakers for nagivation. If i want a better sound, I connect the Iphone4s via Bluetooth A2dp that would stream sound to my car stereo.
So yes, my iphone is my GPS/Infotainment/Carputer.

Dashmount.co.uk makes a no-tool vent mount, similar to the one Tiptronic posted; it has AMPS mounting holes, so you can attach a ProClip or other device mount. I've been using it on my 2010 A3 for 2+ years, with several different phones, without any problems.
