With my APR Stage1 ECU 'Flash' soon to be installed, I have opted to not only improve
the lower control bushings and torque 'dog bone' mount insert but the upper motor
mount as well. Today I swapped out my OEM motor mount and replaced it with the one
for the Golf R (Part # 8J0-199-62 @$136.00). Having already experienced improved
wheel-hop reduction and motor related movement during acceleration with the added on
'stiffer' bushings and 'dog bone' insert, once I added the Golf R's motor mount I found
virtually no back & forth vibration of any kind. Firmly 'planted to the ground' and a
supremely solid feel during all aspects of driving is the only way I can describe it. These
improvements should serve me well when my hp and torque increases come with the
    Stage 1 'Flash'.

Side Note: Spoke to the head man (Mike) at Tyrol Sport, who are the people that will be
doing my Stage 1, and asked about the addition of chassis bracing? Was told that whereas
they do upgrade the Golf R's, the Turbo Beetle doesn't need it due to its outstanding OEM
construction. He felt that nothing would really be gained by me with regard to street driving,
no matter how 'spirited' my driving was, with added bracing.

Thanks, Bill. Haven't yet heard back from the APR installer concerning my ECU 'Flash'
so I'm assuming my downloaded information sent to them needs more time for them to
break the code. My mechanic friend told me that the DSG and Manual Transmission ECU's
must be done separately and quite possibly, mine is the first MT one they have received to
work on. Am curious to know if any others have had a MT - Turbo Beetle flashed?
