What are some of your must-have songs/albums for any road trip?

My top three must haves -
Little Dragon (love them right now)
    The Roots
    Beastie Boys

Getting other peoples music is one of my favorite things about Zipcar. But hardly anyone makes CDs anymore

    I have to add -

    Daft Punk
    The Chemical Brothers
    Erikah Badu

Only 20 more wake ups until SoWo! (at least until I get on the road)

Late night/early morning: smooth and minimal drum and bass and instrumental hip hop beats (think quiet storm)

Daybreak: Hans Zimmer movie soundtrack epicness.

Mid day: Dixie mix of hillbilly rock (Skynard, Clearwater Revival, etc).

    Mountain Roads: Top Gear soundtrack.

    :p

This got me thinking about drum and bass. I used to love it, but stopped listening to it when I stopped going out as much. Decided to see if it's still good after 10+ years, downloaded some best of stuff and yes, it is still awesome. Especially loud while driving fast. This could get me in trouble

Every time I had gotten into trouble in my car, I was listening to some DJ Dara or Aphrodite.

Haha, Hot Sauce Committee 2 FTW! Too bad I can't watch the videos on the way down. Freaking hilarious

My additions: Disturbed, Buck Cherry, Korn, whatever else that can keep me a little excited about a 5 hour trip.

You can create a playlist in which you and your friends can all contribute tracks to it. Or you can create a shareable playlist that other users can subscribe to.
