Have you tried ModShack? I know he developed a 2.0T intake, just not sure if it is for your application or not. Can't hurt to look.

Most of the 2.0T intakes out there don't have an TT application even though the space the intake occupies appears to be exactly the same as a Mk5/6 VW.
I was on ECS' site and when I loaded the pages for TT parts, this K&N intake came up as a popular item.
I thought "finally..." I called ECS and got very specific about the intake and my concerns that it was an application for the car and not just the engine. "Confirmed" they tell me, so I order.
This arrived instead.
After calling ECS another party confirmed that the intake above is correct and the first one pictured is not.
I'd really like to know why. Anyone try to fit one like the first intake? Be it a Neuspeed, Carbonio, whatever? What's the issue?

i agree with you i am on my second intake about to make a move to my third. the first one was an apr carbonio intake and dispute they said it would be a perfect fit it wasn't. why because it was too short so it was kinda hanging around in my engine bay. the second in take was the twin take by forge. it also had the same problem as the apr one so i then had to fabricate something to hold in place to get the most out of it. plus i feel that the second filter it has off to the side is pointless on our cars. because their is no air vent next to our headlights. the third intake shall be another one from forge which they had created just for their tt so I'm waiting for waterfest to come around so i can buy it.

I have this intake for sale for a good price with a brand new filter. I can confirm that it fit's because we had it on my GF's MK2 TT 2.0T.
The only issue with it is that the metal shield will not bolt up to the TT without a little bit of modification. Not even sure if it makes any difference anyways considering the placement of the filter.

too bad theres not room to get the filter out of the engine bay, more air is good, more coldre air is best, i have been looking at my 2001 TT225Q i recently purchased, maybe with a frontmount cooler it may work, IMO that open element in the engine bay gets TOO! much hot air!!

Having tried several intakes for this car, the AWE one is the best. They have version that fits both FSI and TSI engines on TT and hooks up to the grill for it's cold air supply.
Head over to their website for pics.

Anybody tried the EVOMS V-Flow intake http://www.evoms.com/marketplace/Vie...B1878E413DE%7D
or the neuspeed pflow http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product...27529&xSec=470
Both look like theyd actually fit and are meant for this car, least the TTS, I know the engine setup is diff for the TTS and TT baseline, but just wondering. I know EVOMS is good quality ****

I have the PFlo, it does fit with no problems. I didn't like it because it draws directly from the engine bay and for the price you may as well look at a better option.
However, if you're not thinking of raw performance... The PFlo LOOKS good and the turbo / DV sounded great with it.
EDIT: you linked the TTS version, there is a specific TT 2.0t version available.

I currently run the AWE intake on my TT, which I built up for my time on the track. I picked this intake because it pulls cold air from the front of the car.
You can see pics and get further info here:

Any aftermarket intake will improve the spool up on a Turbo including the drop-in K&N filter, so if that's all you're looking for just grab a drop-in solution for $50.![]()

You must be refering to the "drive-by-wire" delay. The only solution to that is driving in "S".. No matter what you do in drive, its going to have a 1/2 second or so delay. coast at 25mph, then hammer the gas pedal all the way down and release.. the RPMs won't move and the car acts like nothing happened... that's the drive by wire delay. Sports mode removes a good portion of the delay, but obviously changes more than just that.
What I was refering to on the intake side, is that if you're not at least a stage 2 car than there's no real reason to go beyond the drop-in solution.. unless you're going for louder turbo and such.

Nope.
I have APR K04, and it made no difference with the delay. I'm not sure why the tuners haven't taken the delay out.. I guess people like it... :/
And just for the record, I'm sure in your searching for a solution you will come across something called "Sprint Booster". All it does is tell the car you're pushing harder on the gas pedal than you actually are.. so save your money... Seriously, it says it fixes the lag and it doesn't... this is all it does.
Sports mode is the only way I've found to remove the delay.![]()
