Thread: Should I use different weight oil?

    Currently I use castrol synthetic 5 w30. Should I use a different weight oil now that I'm stage 2?

    I'd run 5w 40 no matter if your tuned or not. Due to az temps

    More important is whether or not the oil you use meets VW/Audi 502.00 requirement. The only thing sold at discount auto parts stores that does is Mobil1 0w40 .

    IIRC the only Castrol product that does is TXT which I haven't seen in the US in a looong time.
