#2.) My gf's stepdad was pulled over today for running a green light at a right turn signal. Yes, GREEN. The cop pulled us over in my driveway. I didn't know he pulled us over and I went to get out and go inside my house. He pulled out his gun and told me to get back in the car.

So guys... What's the most memorable ticket you've gotten in your MKIV? List the wierdest, harshest, or funniest you've got out there.
im sorry but there is no friggin way.. that would be grossly unacceptable.... and i would have continued right into my house

If you're thinking of doing a ZKW projector retrofit, you're on heroin. If you're thinking of bolting BMW lights up to where your GTI lights sit now, you're on poor quality heroin.

Got one on the 4th of July a couple of years ago. Cop was fresh out of the academy and on a power trip. I was passing two cars legally on a country road in the middle of no where. $320 and he told me he'd raise it if I wanted to appeal it. Had a ****ty night at the fireworks, and on the way back, guess who's in the campground.... Mr Personality. Pulls me over again and asks me if I wanted another ticket because the speed limit in the campground is 5mph. I kindly told him I can't do 5, that I can do 7 before I stall out and the reason why you though I was going so fast is because my engine RPMs were high for first gear rolling down the hill.

He didn't like any of that. The court date was set for December 23rd 2011. I got a call on the 21st saying "you're all set, you don't need to show up. It was thrown out before it even made it to court."

Never heard of that, but lucked out because we had a blizzard that week and it would of taken me 4 hours to get there and 4 hours to get home.

Had a $200 recently for 60 in a 40. Was total bull****, (seriously), but fought it and got it reduced to $100.

I got a ticket in 2008 for no insurance (i didnt have it on me), didnt do anything about it until the end of last year. When I took care of it (pled guilty & paid fine), that was an admition that I was driving the day of the ticket. Turns out in Texas whenever you plead guilty to any offense, they crosscheck your license validity on the date of the ticket. My license was in between renewal at the time of the ticket. So even though I have had a current license since 2008, they still suspended it until June this year.

Long story short... I lost my license for a year, paid ~$600 in fines, had to get a sr22 so my insurance went up to $270 a month, and have to pay around $700 each year for the next 3 years all because I just happened to not have my insurance card on me.

2 days ago 90 in a 55. knocked it down to 85 so I didnt go to jail, but $299 fine. No points, but the CT statey wasnt happy. Thats my first actually speeding ticket though.
Best traffic stop for me was about 2 months ago. I got the 20th chipped and a cop saw me driving pretty fast. He pulled me over in front of my friends house, and immediatley pulled me out and searched the car. He couldnt find anything though he let me go and told me if I wanted to test out my chip, go to the next town over. heres the cool thing. I never told him it was chipped

street racing ticket when I was 17. Ticket alone cost around $1000. Impound fee was $600.

For me as I live in the state of Oregon, for my insurance at the time the street racing ticket gave me 9 demerit points on my record (for comparison, most regular speeding tickets for 10, 15, or 20 mph over the limit are 1 demerit point). that alone raised my insurance to around $300 a month for the most basic liability coverage (raised my rate almost $200 a month).

I now drive like a grandma after that and the others I received Clean record now and am keeping it that way, knock on wood

funny part is most of the trip was 80-90mph AND I had my gps, and I WAS going 60. gps had a max speed that day of 60...
