One day, someone will make a list of all the unique special-edition Pagani Zonda models and all the one-off Bugatti Veyron one-offs produced over the past few years. It'll be a gargantuan task, because there have been many of each, and we suspect that we only hear about some of them. And you can bet that most of the buyers ordering them have little to no idea how to get the most out of their new rides. However, if new reports prove accurate, the Modenese atelier's latest customer sure will.

That customer, according to reports, is one Lewis Hamilton. The 2008 Formula One World Champion has reportedly ordered his Zonda (dubbed 760 LH) with 760 horsepower – the same output as the 760 RS we reported on a couple of weeks ago – 20 more than the track-spec Zonda R and 90 than the Zonda Cinque. And what else did Lewis ask for on his? A manual transmission. Apparently he has enough time with paddle-shift gearboxes at work. Solid.

In addition to the McLaren grand prix cars he drives "at the office," Hamilton's also got a very rare McLaren F1 LM that was a gift from his employers upon clinching the World Championship, and something tells us that he's got a new MP4-12C waiting for him at home, too. Bringing a Zonda home, then, to park beside them would be high praise indeed.

OI....Lol guess he is tired of paddle shifters

Remember Clarkson chewing him out because he owned a G class on 20+" rims? Not that he ever had to, but I'd say this atones.

Hamilton has the F1 LM XP1? I thought he needed another championship to get that.

Me too re F1 LM - pretty sure that's not his yet. Had to win three championships or something.

IIRC he chewed him out because it was a DIEsel.

Well why the Hell would you buy something for pleasure that had paddle shifters? Double-clutches are for track times (and as such, bragging rights), not for fun. No fun comes of paddle shifters; fun comes of actually having the skill of driving - heel to toe shifting, clutchless upshifting, etc.

I have a sneaky suspicion that manually shifting gears is the last thing a racing driver wants to do, when he finally gets a chance to get out from the track.
Taking on them mountains. One hill at a time.

If this is true, it's awfully nice to win for the right team.
If Hamilton wins for McLaren, he gets an F1 LM.
If Alonso wins for Ferrari, he probably gets an Enzo or successor.
Schumi might get an SLS special edition or something like that,
But if Vettel wins for Red Bull, he gets an energy drink! Or an Infiniti, woo hoo!

I'm surprised by this as well, I thought the Huayra surely meant the end of the Zonda. Interesting that Lewis ordered one with a manual, I'm sure that Mercedes AMG V12 falls in line with his sponsors.

Didn't Vettel get the F1 he won the championship with? even both of them?

Well, in this case, you're wrong.

I would think he doesn't give a **** about getting a free car... He can probably buy damn near anything he wants with his winnings. You know, the **** ton of money you get for winning championships.

Apparently Pagani has no problem continuing to build Zondas for those whom are willing to pay for them. Bravo to Pagani for that; the Zonda is far too special to officially kill, particularly since it just gets better with age, like an automotive equivalent of a fine Argentinian wine

Right, and I would totally understand that - but he paddle shifts at work so he bought a manual Zonda for fun.
