Awesome build great Corrado just don't understand why you didn't go with a high performance set of rods.![]()

There is no need to upgrade the rods unless you are increasing the redline RPM. The 7A has a 7k redline and I didn't plan on spinning it any faster than that. The loads on the rods from spinning at high RPM are much larger than the loads due to combustion pressure. A stock 125hp 7A is just as hard on it's rods as this supercharged engine.
The new pistons are forged and the wrist pins are stronger to deal with the increased combustion pressure. The new pistons are also much lighter than the stock pistons so that actually decreases the loads on the rods at high RPM making stronger rods unnecessary.

Wow, I was just thinking about this car the other day....
This 16v silenced setup is one of three in existence. The silenced setup for the 16v is made of unobtanium.
This car is priced pretty low... An awesome alternative to the typical vr6 turbo blah blah blah
Good luck with the sale; kind of sad to see it in the market to change hands.![]()
