Careful with this guy. He seemed to try to scam me twice. I am not sure if he really has a car that he is parting or if he is just fishing for some paypal deposits on parts.

He told me that the car was green in one email then he said colorado red in another. Be careful.

Yep, tough dealing with this guy. He wanted $150 for a door handle because he said that was what the dealer charged on a new one and that I would save money because I didn't have to paint it. They might be right about bartering for beer, this guy is drinking alot of it. And he was pushy for paypal gifts as a deposit.

IMO I am leery of a guy charging $150 for a door handle that is 13 years old. Beware.

i know from experience if you give somone money through paypal as a gift theres nothing you can do if they decide to not hold up there end of a deal. Now i make sure every transaction i do through forums i have the seler send me a detailed invoice before sending any cash.

WOW. first of all i don't think you are remembering what guy you were talking to. Scam you twice?
the car is green. he doesn't scam. he doesn't even use the internet really. this is why you call him and pick up parts with cash. i don't know what your referring to when you say he emailed you and mentioned a red car?? i will take pics if that is what you like. it's a great relatively clean driving complete car.
and quite honestly a really good friend that is more legit and sensible than most people i know.
so, i don't understand the negativity except that this site is pretty much known for it.

paypal can be extremely safe for a buyer. the only thing is when you gift to save charges then you have no backup. calculate the charges and pay up front if thats what you are trying to do.
but really, come pick up and bring cash is best.

correction again here folks because i think i know this guy... your from Pitt or Philly area can't remember... you are looking for a pass side front door. not just a handle.
$150 for a complete dent free scratch free exact paint matched complete with glass, power window reg, leather door card etc... 20 minute swap out and be done...? and you rather pay $100 and 8-16 hours of labor or wait time to fix a crap door and paint it and swap over all the parts and... i don't know.... i guess if it's worth saving $50 and spending more than $100 in your time and money to get back to the same square one like this door that is ready to go, that's your call. live and learn. (i must be showing my age!)

please make realistic and fair comments people.
you want nice parts? this is a no brainer part out car to acquire them from.
i'm a little irritated because i'm fair in my dealings, people do know me around here, and i wouldn't jeopardize anyone's reputation if i didn't think my friend was a fair and realistic seller.

    lots left.
don't let the misinformation and negative comments fool you.
i guess hiding behind ebay may part this car out quicker.
