Am I an idiot for contemplating chrome wheels? Seems too over the top, what do you think?

    I'm looking at these.

Some people like chrome, some people hate chrome, some people are indifferent about chrome, some people may like certain chrome and not like other chrome.

All that's important is: Do you like them? If yes...get them.

If done right ,Chrome looks good on a european car . I have chrome on my grey Golf TDI . I wanted a clean look and I was pleased with the look.
Not all wheels have to be plasti-dip black .

Well I'm not really digging chrome too much but every RLINE type wheel I find on the planet is out of stock.

The strip along the side of your CC is chrome. Chrome wheels just enhance the car even more.

I don't care too much for the wheels that you have depicted but there are many out there that would be much nicer.

Look for a wheel similar to the ones that come on the CC, VR6. Turbine Wheels.

I love the wheels on my CC VR6 and wish they were chrome. Perhaps someday, when I win the lottery, they will be.

IMHO, these are the most beautiful wheels ever manufactured, except for the fact that they are not chrome.

If you like the look of the wheel, go for it. Don't change things on your car to get the approval of everyone else. The lips on my car are chrome. Chrome looks nice when maintained, and yes the car does have chrome accents to match.

What do you guys think of these?

    https://wagen-wheels.com/products/Ro..._19-107-0.html

I know they are 19's but I'm seriously thinking about them. I know what it's like to maintain chrome so I'm contemplating these. 19's are growing on me but I don't want any issues with the fenders rubbing. I'm probably not going to drop the car.

In another thread a guy bought these wheels in
    Roderick RW2 19x8.5 +32 and 19x9.5 +48 on 225/35 and 235/35 Falken 452

I just don't know if he got different size tires and rims because he dropped the car.

I feel the CC has enough chrome accents on it to blind ray charles on a sunny day. Those Rodericks look perfect on a dropped CC IMO. If you're not dropping the car you shouldn't have to worry about rubbing.
