    Hi all,

I have a 3A block that I'm currently rebuilding and I was wondering if somebody has done the displacement increase from 2.0L to 2.1L with this setup? I'm planning on using the 83.5mm bore pistons and 10.5:1 CR (possibly from autotech). My plan is to use my stock JH head for this.
I read in some threads that a 95.5mm crankshaft from a VW TDI would make the conversion perfect. Is that correct?
Which models have the correct crankshaft for my conversion?
Does anybody have one lying around?

    Thanks!

the AHU, and 1Z tdis are gonna be the easiest ones to get cranks from..

im not sure exactly what parts are needed for this swap, but search the forum, its been done thousands of times..

there are people out there that know this swap like the back of their hand, and can help you out alot more than i can..

but if i were you, i would start out with an ABA block, because of the longer rods and taller deck height, the engine will be more friendly to higher RPMs..

Does anybody know if the 1z or AHU crank will be a direct swap or do I need to modify (chafe) the inside of the block? Are all the caps, bearings the same?

the 95.5 works, the 100mm needs the block opened up..
