Thread: Problem with doors not staying locked and Alarm will not activate

    i dont know what it could be but my doors will lock then unlock themselves after i turn the key and the alarm will not acivate and i found out also that my sunroof and windows will not work either all of a sudden??!! someone plzzzz!!! help me

    I'm not too sure about this, but it might be the ccm?

    i just dont know what do and i feel unsafe because my rear door wont lock by its slf anymore so i have no way of locking it

    see i read about that but i have a 2003 you think it is still possible and why would it affect my sunroof and windows because neither will open

    Maybe its 2 different issues. Ive had the door unit replaced once already and its broken again. If you have a friends with a sunroof; swap out the sunroof switch with his and see if it works in your car. Ive had to replace just about every switch in my car because they all failed.

    The microswitches are problematic on all mkiv's regardless of year, as far as I've seen.

    For the doors not locking, make sure your hatch and hood are fully latched and closed. I know it sounds stupid, but one time my hatch wasn't fully latched and nothing would lock. Took me a while to figure it out...
    My 20th is currently: clean/dirty girl, out for the summer/hiding from salt and sand, CEL on/off. I currently love/hate my car.

    Same thing happened on my 20th. It was a fuse.

    ok thankyou everyone for the input and if there is anymore out there plz feel free to add i will go ahead and check the fuse and see if i can find someone with a sunroof

    it was a fuse and it is now fixed and back to normal thankyou you everyone for the suggestions
