    Breaking News:

Forge Motorsport is pleased to announce that our US office has been appointed as the official US importer of 3SDM wheels out of the UK!

    www.3sdm.co.uk

Production of the highly anticipated 0.05 design is currently under way with the first bulk shipment expected to arrive in the US sometime in June! We are working to have a dedicated US website live very shortly as well!

Look for more information to be available at the Southern Worthersee show in a few weeks, where we will also be taking orders for the wheels!

Until the US website goes live, please contact us at 3sdm@forgemotorsport.com with any enquiries.

I don't have the weight off hand, but I have asked for it.

5x112 fitments will be as follows:

    18 x 8.5 et42
    18 x 9.5 et40

Silver/machined (shown above) and also matte black will be the standard finishes initially.

While also a 5-spoke star-shaped design, so the comparisons are inevitable, these are actually quite different from the Tarmac. They have a lot more concavity to the overall depth of the face. They are much more angular in the detailing, with no soft curves. They have the pockets in the spoke faces inspired by the F40 wheels of yesteryear. Due to the concavity, the depth of the bowl for the bolts is shallower. The outer rim is thicker with a taller lip that will be polished in contrast to the wheel color, which highlights the increased detailing of the design.

This image highlights the details much better.

Hmm 42 is pretty aggressive... 45 is as much as I like to go. Will wait on the weight.

The offset number itself, in relation to the overall width, isn't really the only indicator of fitment.

The offset measurement is calculated based on the inner width where the tire actually seats/beads, so this doesn't really account for the thickness of the the lip itself.

The fitment is spot on for MK5/MK6 vehicles, but this will all depend on how low you are, alignment, the size tire you want to run, etc.

Yes I know this. I am running 18x8.5 ET45 with 225/40 18's and I rub in the front on occasion. I would imaging running the same exact size but with a ET42 I would rub more than I do now since the wheels would be pushed out another 3mm. Or am I missing something?

You can try running a 215/40 or a 35 series tire, you can try dialing in some more camber, you can roll your fenders a bit, or you might want to raise your car slightly.

I think these look better on a sedan than a wagon...
