I have been having some problems with my trunk light not coming on and not knowing it's open, the light on the dash never come's on and the alarm will stay on if the trunk is open, so finally it stopped opening all together turns out a plastic piece popping it open was broken so I'm glueing it now, but my problem remains the car doesn't know when the trunk is open, I checked all my fuses and there good checked out the micro switch is fine, I have a spare latch that I swapped out and still same issue what else could this be?

if you are sure the micro switch is fine, then:
open the trunk, and pull down the driver side trunk carpet
unplug the harness for the trunk and fish it out of the car
remove the trunk lid carpet
unplug the trunk lid harnesses
now inspect all the wires.
if no wire is bad or shorting out, then replace the micro switch.![]()

I have a spare micro switch that I hooked up and same thing happened so I guess I'll have to check all the wires then
