    Here's the scoop.

Driving around after work today. Had to get on the throttle to pass someone, then this happened.

Say you were in first with the clutch in, you start going, then do a normal shift into second but instead you slip the clutch (bad shift). Engine revs high and then the clutch catches. This is what is happening...but my foot isn't on the clutch.

I'm thinking that maybe I need to bleed my brakes/clutch? I don't understand why my clutch would be slipping when it's fully out.

NOTE: this only happens when I step on the throttle a little. Happens in all gears. Here is a video to help explain. Keep in mind, my foot is NOT on the clutch and the clutch is out completely.

    HELP!!!

How much am I looking at just to fix it...not the clutch itself...I know how much those cost. Just the fix.

my mechanic quoted me $1100 parts and labor on my 94 glx. ITs a weekend project if youve never done anything like it before. I drove it like that for a couple weeks, got hit by a suburban, got check for more than I paid for the car, sold it to a guy doing a swap. Profit

I had paid $400 to get a new tranny swapped in, and have a new lightweight fly wheel in, and also a clutch replacement. I bought all the parts, and then took them to the mechanic.

And if I drive like this for a month or so...how bad am I going to mess things up. Be completely realistic and don't tell me a drama story about how my car will blow up...unless that's realistic.

I am short money and my job doesn't pay much. I also have to buy $150 bfi engine mounts before my hub and wheel bearing get ****ed again. And I have a $120 speEding ticket that needs to get paid ASAP.

Therefore, I am short money for a bit.

Will my car explode or will it be alright if I baby it when I drive?

If you keep driving it like that your eventually going to get stuck somewheres.... your just going to keep wearing your clutch disk down.. get it changed....

the longer is slips, the more gears you will start losing. Higher gears have more resistance, and the clutch needs to grab harder. it will start with 5th and work its way down. Letting it slip will also ruin the flywheel, however they can be had pretty cheap from rockauto. Like TooLBokS said, eventually you are going to be at the side of the road, unable to move.

The only two buddies of mine that would have a clue how to fix this thing are far away. One of them is in Germany for something, he's been gone for months, I think for school. And the other one lives in Michigan.

I'll figure something out...speeding ticket first. Then replace clutch. But if I'm going to replace the clutch, I might as well replace the timing chains and guides...moneyyyyyy.
