How many .:R owners in Canada?

Was just wondering how many of these beasts made it north of the border. I know mine was one of 8 or10 imported back in 2006 to Quebec,there was a stupid law banning these cars until some fanatics figured out a loophole on how to get them in. Thank you guys!! Anyways, just wondering....

i am in calgary, got my R last august, it came up from Cali. As far as I know there are only 3 BMP R's in Alberta so pretty rare little rides!

I live on the far east coast (Nova Scotia). There's a few over this way. 1 DBP (mine), 2 BMP, 1 RS(low miles and super clean), 1 full r32 swapped jetta wagon(soon to be HPA 20th boosted), and 1 full r32 swapped mk4 GLI(soon to be on the road).

I'm in Saskatchewan, with a BMP R32 I picked up a year ago from Calgary. As far as I know there is only one other mk4 R here, a RS that came from Quebec.

We also have 3 mk5 Rs, 2 blue and 1 white.

there not allowed in canada? so how u get them in? just swap the guts into another mk4?

Mine is BMP and is Alberta plated (Calgary). My .:R is originally out of NYC but I bought it down in Florida last January. It is currently back in Florida with me as I study.

Hahahaha!! Not quite!! In Quebec back in 2006,the only way to get them in is if they were brought in as salveged titles, meaning damaged but redone.My DBP was from Pennsylvania and was damaged left fender,bumper but no airbags deployed. originally I think we could not import them because of bumper specs and ect.... Long story short, now im pretty sure you can bring any in as long as they meet safety inspections!

Non ,moi j'ai une DBP, mais J,ai vu cette voiture avant a Drummond,pensais de l'acheter mais le gars a choké avant de la vendre! Ouin,le TR avais besoin d'amour!!!! Pis tout le filage de system de son etait stressant!!!

en effet cest un petit kid innocent qui avait sa . jai payer le prix pas mal , peinture neuve , suspension neuve , refaire du filleage , head light neuve , pas dappuie tete etc . jai mis 10 000
sur le char pour le mettre neuf ! mais jvoulais absolument un TR avec linterieur super propre
et pas trop de milleage ... mais jen ai payer le prix

I bought mine last August locally in BC. I'm the third owner. The previous owner imported it up from Florida in 2006.

The interior was trashed, the paint in bad shape, about a dozen dents around the car. Nine months later, here she is:

Tim at Velocity Upholstery did them for me. He did my rear seats for me too (see the link in my signature). Headliner and pillars to come soon. It's completely custom and we decided on materials for the inserts, the grey stitching and also the extra seams. I felt that the seats needed them for symmetry and it's a little subtle detail to set them apart from OEM seats.

Ha! C'est sur qu'a ca couter une couple de$$ mais pour une TR,Ca vaut la peine!! On devrais faire un meet de .:R du quebec cette été, pourrais etre cool!!
