    Picked up my spoilers and lights from the shop today....looks great. See if I can install something tomorrow.





    Threw in the drivers side....looks perfect!

    is your grill plasti-dipped? if so how many coats?

    Yeah, stock grilll Plasti-dipped. 3-4 coats. The trick was to do the first couple coats light and hazy. It wasn't sticking very well to the chrome. So a light first couple coats....to act as sort of a primer, let it dry (in the sun...about 5 minutes) and then 3-4 more coats.

    i plasti dipped the chrome rear emblum on my MK5 GTI which is also the hatch pop handle, so it gets touched all of the time, i sprayd it over the chrome with no other prep than windex, and it has been sticking perfect for 2 years even through the pressure washer spraying it

    i did the same on my mk4 gti and it still liooked great after 1.5 years and is most likely still in great shape if the new owner is not a douche
