Howdy everybody, my name is Duke and I'm new to the VW scene, I was hardcore in the truck scene for ten years. I just bought a 2003 GTI. Alot of plans are going thru my head on what I want to do. Firstly, I want to bag it. So that's where I will start. Does anybody have any pointers or advice or tricks I need to know about. Ive bagged trucks before, but there different then a car. Thanks for any help I can get.

Your already on the right track man! Personally I don't know anything about bags, but a word of advice you'll probably get from everybody on here, keep it clean, doesn't necessarily have to be OEM+ but don't rice it. Check out Canibeat, Stancenation, Stanceworks, and Ilovebass, for inspiration.

Oh CLEAN is my middle name, I am all about simple lines, simple paint, just smooth clean drivers. I have a hatred for ricers, I actually had to explain last night for the first time to an idiot my car is NOT a ricer, it's German!!! Not Japanese. Thank you for the heads up tho.

This is all you need, everything useful that the search will turn up can more effectively be found here. It's all cataloged and organized very well here. Most helpful part of the entire site. GL w/ your new VW... sorry it's a MkIV lol

well, in all honesty, you both where wrong, rice can be anything from Detroit to Switzerland made cars.

    Race
    Inspired
    Cosmetic
    Enhancments.

Hench RICE, it's not japanese, japanese cars are beautiful too, just don't add a 30 lb wing to a car that doesn't go over 120 mph. that's a little silly.
