I have been on a fruit-vegetable shake diet but I wonder what else I can add to the concoction so it won't taste too leafy.

I've never been able to add veggies to shakes without it tasting like vegetables.

I'd add meat to make it taste meaty, or fish to make it taste fishy, or nuts, to make it taste nutty.

if you are using a juicer, try adding half a lemon or a quarter of a grapefruit and half a granny smith apple.

I 2nd this. I've put spinach in my protein shakes before, and I didn't taste it, which is surprising consider that its...spinach.

I'll third this. I was making wacky shakes for a few months and had success with baby spinach, frozen broccoli, and frozen carrots. Kale can work also but it has a much stronger flavor than spinach. A small amount of beet may work for you as it will add some sweetness.

Be careful with the fruit shakes though. Too much fruit and they turn into glucose bombs. A scoop of protein powder in your shake goes a long way towards helping you feel full after a shake. Zero protein isn't a healthy way to live even in the short term.
