Thread: Leaking at Rubber Gasket Driving me Crazy

Hi all. I am having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to eliminate this leak. It seems to be leaking from the rubber gasket joints on both the driver's and passengers side. So far I replaced the gasket's interior piece with a piece of PEX pipe to make sure there is no clog. I've taken both the metal channels and rubber gaskets off and reinstalled. I installed new heavy duty 3M moulding tape below the metal channel then screwed them back into the frame. I then lubricated the inside of the rubber gaskets with Simple Green to make sliding them back into place easier. I'm at a loss. Every tweak I've tried has ended up no where. A simple garden hose test shows dripping down the interior of the windows nearly immediately. I've attached some pics below to help with the visualization. Thanks in advance!!

I schmutzed some Vaseline between the two pieces and closed the top, then smoothed the excess. I made it part of my routine when I wash the car.

Probably not the idea solution, but it works!
