    Just replaced alternator and belt.
Checked voltage at battery terminals and only getting 11Volts.
CHecked wiring and noticed the blue excite wire was disconnected. Repaired wire and now the battery light comes on when the key is at on position and stays on when the engine is running.
I'm still only getting 11 volts at battery terminals.
Followed all the steps to test the alternator in the bently for a VR6 OBDII and everything checks out. Testing black wire to ground-12volts, checking the excite wire terminal to ground while key is on -12volts.

    Someone please help.

if I remember right there is two terminals on the alternator where exciter wire goes, if you put it on the wrong one battery light will come on.

There's only one way you can plug in the connector to the alternator.

    Anyone else?

Check the alternator output directly at the output stud. It shouuld be at least 14v, if not then there's something wrong with it, plain and simple.
    Does voltage increase with revs?

Pulled alternator to get it bench tested tomorrow. See what happens, hopefully it's bad.
