High pitch whining noise from the front of the engine on gli?

owned the car almost a month and about a week ago noticed a high pitch whining noise coming from the front of the car. first i thought it was coming from the turbo but after looking at it its the front of the engine emitting the noise, car is a GLI. i set up an appointment for this wed unfortunately i cant get it in any sooner, but has anyone else experienced this issue? you can hear it with the windows up while the car idles and at low level speeds as well.

Just had this same problem a week ago(1600 miles)...the water pump was failing. It's a common issue it appears(more for the GTI). You'll need to wait for your appointment, however I'm sure this is your issue

Depends on if they have the part in stock. I brought mine in at 9am and got a call at noon that they were putting the car back together. I also told them to take a look at the rattles(which they keep claiming they dont hear, I must be going to a deaf dealership)...I didn't end up getting my car back until the next morning because the tech left at 2:30. So 3-4 hours if you are lucky

yea i know about the rattles im starting to hear a few here and there. im assuming my dealer will act stupid as well about it so im leave that as it is and try to adjust that issue my self.
