Thread: Eastern Pennsylvania Morning Cruise-In

  1. 04-28-2012 09:14 PM #1
In association with a couple of regional car clubs, I am organizing a breakfast-time cruise-in. The event will be May 5 at Michael's Restaurant in Douglassville, PA...easily accessable from PA Route 422. Everyone is invited...and the more interesting your car (or your knowledge of cars), the stronger that invitation!

Come see the Automotive Traveler/VW Autocross Beetle!

    Hope to see you there!

This is the first time I've put one together...but the call has been put out to about 40 regional car clubs and all of my regional contacts. I'm hoping to have trouble parking this many cars! It's open to everyone...with a preference to "interesting" and/or "different" vehicles. And especially interesting PEOPLE!

Since I won't be able to attend the local German car rally (Deutsche Classic), I'd love to see a bunch of V-Dubs show up. I've got a VW-sponsored '12 Beetle that I'm campaigning in the regional SCCA autocross season that I want to show off. I'm bringing a few more cars as well.

Bring it on! See you on Saturday!

If you're in the area, bring your ride and meet us for breakfast! Make sure you look for me! I'll have a '12 Beetle (Tornado Red) and a '12 Mini Countryman (white).

I'm competing in the Philly Region, but I'm open to running in any autocross in the Mid-Atlantic. I might try one or two in the Harrisburg Region...they seem like good guys.

You're not running your Alfa in G-Stock, are you?

Yep, that was me. Had to try the Alfa at a philly event to see if it was competitive. I'll be back in the Miata for the next one down at CBP in 2 weeks. Summer heat + philly traffic is no fun in the Alfa.

Susquehanna region (Harrisburg) events are a lot of fun too. Brought the Alfa to one of those earlier this year. It does much better on a big open course like that.

I like the new-new beetles a lot. (Want an instructor run next event? Pleeeeeease? ) But you need some proper tires on that thing!

I'll be at that autocross on June 10th in my S4. I'll have to look for you guys (the Beetle should be easier to spot than your Miata...).
