I bought this 91 coupe, ran ok except high idle, drove it 32 miles home with no issues, washed the engine and it ran very rough. I figured i'd check the distributor cap for moisture and sure enough it was wet. I dried it and it ran better. drove it home 3 miles. now when its cold, it starts and runs fine for about 3 minutes, then runs rough for 10-20 seconds and stalls. I try to restart it and it runs fine for 5-10 seconds, then it stalls. Wait for it to cool down and it repeats the cycle.

I found the injector harness had shorted to the ground wire going to the head. clipped, soldered both of those with replacement harnesses from the salvage yard.

Assumption: since it didn't do this when I bought it and it only started after i washed it, that I got something in the distributor wet and ruined the hall sender.

Thoughts?
