China headlights being factory rejects

buyer beware , my sources say that most headlights being sent from China, Taobao agents, are factory rejects. Also do not buy from Oscar. You will have major problems if you receive broken lights. ( odds are you will ) I tried to relay this information to him but he seems not to understand. ( I have a paypal dispute with him over a broken set which is ongoing ) Only buy from a reputable website or seller which has a clear exchange / return policy.

Sorry to hear about the drama with the lights. I'm sure I speak for a variety of folks here when I say we're definitely interested in learning the right way to do this. If I recall correctly, I'm a much bigger fan of these Chinese style LEDs, than what the new Jettas will have -or anything I've seen aftermarket at this time (all two of them...).

I can't wait for more knowledge and more so - availability of these lights - to become more common!

Are there any specific forum posts that outline your progress/install, or can we look forward to that in the future??

Not sure. His name is Oscar Guerrero. Check your Paypal history.

He's not slick enough to be that devious, IMO. He would tell me tall tales about how his contact is a friend, and then later it was just a guy he met online, about how he paypals him because of trust issues and then he says he wires him the cash because they are pals. His friend also lives in China and doesn't speak English, but speaks fluent Spanish. ( props out to the Chinese / Hispanic community in China ) He consistently asked me the same questions over and over again after I answered them. ( 4 plus times, as if he forgot who he was talking to ) He told me he gets the whole sets of lights sent to him for about $600 USD, then tells me he only makes $100 a set. ( I believe the $600 as they are most likely factory rejects, and most B7 owners would ask, why go through all this hassle for $100? )

I should probably quit here as my paypal claim had Oscar text-threatening me that if I let Paypal decide our disagreement, that he would have my emails and text messages notarized by the Supreme Court. Cross border Supreme Court action, not dealing with a genius here obviously.

Notice how he is strangely quiet on this forum now?

Curious, how did you bypass the reverse light limitation and such? Was the re-wiring crazy?

I expected that response. It' a crap shoot when you buy things from these sources but as it stands, I have a perfect condition set of rears for sale. Dig in to my profile and posts and try to figure out for yourself that integrity number 1 with me.

there is no reverse tail light limitation! It's actually a situation of too many options. Check out my youtube vid!

You have the rear fog light option, which I did not use. I also opted to not use the amber turn signal option. North American rears have the reverse on the outers, so had to be rewired to the inners. N/A stock also had turns only on outers, I did both inners and outers for a sweet effect.

Percy any luck on how to make these headlights from china to work I just want to put them in my car I already had a cem blow out in my car thank god they covered it under warranty I was lucky !!
