A guy fixed an MDX grille onto his TSX

    Compare with stock

I think the former looks pretty damn sweet.

Waaaay too huge IMO. Not feeling it at all, but it's nice to see someone trying something different.

To me, the best way to 'de-beak' a TSX is to get an Accord grille.

....and if you REALLY want it say Acura, chop off the Honda emblem and work some magic to custom fit an Acura emblem in there.

The only one to fix Acura beak is ronjon design on the Acura TL. If I owned one I would have ordered this the same day.

Well, they do apparently think we are suckers, because they think they can slap a different badge on the thing and call it an Acura and we'll think it's premium and not "just a Honda" anymore. And they're right.

I actually like it - it makes the car look like a super hero. Maybe it'll become an Avenger's car.

The MDX grille doesn't look too bad. I'd need to see more shots to be sure though.

I like it a lot. Then again I don't hate beak 2.0 as much as the rest. With the MDX grille is airflow compromised?

Is that supposed to be the fix?

I think the subject pic in the OP is pretty good considering what he had to start with.

I guess I just don't understand how people are so offended by a slash of plastic or chrome. Meanwhile the baleen whale grill on other luxury cars is classy and understated elegance.

I dunno man, I think from the early or most likely mid 2000's it's America's fault. I used to think that way too, but just like Japanese video games from the early 90's, America is the one that butchered it up once it hit our shores...I may be easily wrong, but my mind has been set on it. After all, the styling direction for Acura, Lexus, and Infiniti...are those designed by those in the parent companies or are those designed by people in the American ("luxury") division?

They need huge waterfall grilles so the soul from the hose clamps doesn't get trapped in the engine bay and cause the car to explode.

When something is described not as a modification, but as a fix -- you know the factory fcked up

I know it's a joke and a wreck and funny but if you smash the hood back down and put an unobtrusive black grille there with a simple silver (A) it would look great

The Acura beak deserves nowhere near the amount of grief it gets here. Least of all on the TSX.
Thoughts expressed are those of the poster and not those of some long dead guy who I choose to speak for me.

I don't get it either, the new TL is a pretty handsome car and the manual SH-AWD can put down some serious numbers.

The revised beak on the TL looks just fine.

I agree the older one was fugly, but it was toned down and looks nice now in my opinion.

Remember it's the cool thing to do to hate on Acura on these boards.

Dude I've owned probably more Honda/Acuras than you if you've owned any. I used to be the biggest Honda fanboy and I'm pretty content with Acura's offerings except for styling and lack of powettrain choices.

I'm not hating because it's the cool thing, I still own a Honda.... I'm hating because I can voice my legitimate opinion

    In interior is not.

The exterior is now pretty bland but bland is popular.

Okay, I'll give you the interior bit, and being a GTI owner like you, I appreciate nice interiors at the sacrifice of a little speed and thrill. 3G TL was Acura automotive perfection as a complete package. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
