Hello, I was wondering if any of you ever experienced the aforementioned problem with your DSG.

On D mode the gearbox shifts smoothly and flawlessly from gear to gear but when I set the gearbox on S mode, for some reason it shifts trouble free until it reaches 3rd gear but right after that I won´t shift to 4rd gear unless I force it (paddle shift it) or I release the gas pedal a bit (and I have to do that after 5k RPM or it won´t shift anyway)...curious thing is, after forcing the shift to 4rd gear and hitting the gas, it will go on it´s own to 5th and 6th gear.

    The car is 2000 miles.

S mode keeps the rpms higher. How fast are you going in 4th gear?

Mm...I don´t remember how fast it is but I do remember it goes past 6000RPM before I force the gear change. If I don´t shift it myself, it always goes up to the red RPM mark...It simply won´t shift to the next gear on 3rd no matter how fast I go (whilst, for example, it shifts @ 5000RPM from 2nd to 3rd gear).

If I remember right fourth gear is about 115? Atleast its that way when you tip.shift.
