Thought some of you guys might enjoy this.

The guys down in our paint hangar have been restoring a P-51 for the Commemorative Air Force.

    When it arrived

    All done

There are a ton more pictures in the gallery: (not my photos)

Is that N10601 from the Dixie Wing in PTC? Got to see some lucky bastards do ridealongs in that at PDK a few years back. I inquired, but the $$$ wasn't exactly within my budget at that time. Matter of fact, it still might not be

Cool bird. Didn't know they did this kind of thing at Delta TechOps I really need to be your kid on Take Your Adopted 30-something Kid To Work Day

I'm almost positive its the same one.

Pretty sure this was kinda a one time thing. We do a ton of MRO work but not usually stuff like this.

I'd be down to bring you to take your kid to work day but your about 6 years older than me. Probably couldn't pull that one off.

I've been corrected. We also did their SBD-5 Dauntless last year. Seems as though they did them as a kinda preservation thing. A lot of the supplies get donated.
