went a different direction with this, selling my custom made alternator adjustment bracket. perfect for an a/c delete or if you want to use a bigger alternator. i powder coated it matte black. $45 shipped its made from rolled steel cut on a waterjet

So is this bracket pretty much a self-done version of the non a/c delet brackets that go for $200+

(basically just wondering if all I need is this bracked , and a belt and I will be set, but removing the a/c compressor etc)

pretty much, but its better. it wont rust, and you have more adjustment out of it. you need this bracket, the belt, and a pulley. the pulley is the easy thing to get

Neither I can't see anyone paying 45$ for this when you can just cut the stock mount to get the same effect

except you cant cut the stock one and get the same effect. you will need to hack up your alternator to get it to fit and you wont have nearly the same adjustment as you will with this. have you done an a/c delete on an 8v or on a diesel before? if you have you would know. but if you dont like my price you can leave. its a custom made piece that works far better than a cheap hack set up there is a reason people make these

Actually you can, I've done it on a friends dub using the DIY on here and it came out fine, this would just be a lot easier

first, they are volkswagens, not dubs..

second if you want to use a bigger alternator you need a bracket like this if you want the proper amount of adjustment without hacking your alternator and bracket to sh!t

third what would you want to wreck your stuff and have it look like a hack job when you can have a custom piece that is strong enough and custom built for the job with a nice finish for an extra few bucks? you need to buy an adjustment bracket anyway since normally the alternator is mounted solid to the block. 5 minutes to bolt this in is better than the 2 hours of grinding you will do to make a 90amp fit
