    Jesus Christ.

I do love how the cameraman pretty much articulated everything that will eventually be in the comments, though. "I mean, you're jumping on the guy's roof..."

Looks like self-defense. The idiot jumping on the roof should have gotten hit.

    My thoughts exactly!!

*serious note* .... HOLY **** that was not cool! I hope the cabbie faces some serious jail time for what he did. It is pretty obvious he did not do that on accident!

But it was totally worth it. "Kids" these days, probably unemployed and bored out of their minds looking for excitement...you need to beat decency into them, or in this case drive over rib cage.

He had many opportunities to drive away without hitting anyone...

This happened 500m from my place. Nuts.

I wondered what caused the damage to the front of the cab though....

Wow... I already hate cabbies due to their blatant disregard for the laws they're suppose to abide by in Toronto (crooked metres and refusing people because the distance isn't far enough or in the direction of frequent business), but this just makes me wonder... Cabbies were worthless in Mexico, they're worthless in Santiago, they're worthless in Buenos Aires, they're worthless in Chicago, and they're worthless in Rio de Janeiro. I notice a trend... Granted, yes, they did attack this cabbie. However, he flipped the **** out over them closing his door too hard/loud. If you're in a car vs. a pedestrian, it's like having a c&c. You're the biggest bitch alive. You let them call your mother and wife whatever they want, you just get the **** out of there ASAP without hurting anyone. Damage? That's what insurance is for... You already have their picture on file anyway from when they were in the cab.

This cabbie had the opportunity but circled around for more and now someone is in intensive care. Hope he gets the book wedged in his ******* and the people that attacked him get theirs as well.

I just saw it on the news, Turns out the kids and the cabby had been arguing for 15 minutes, each trying to provoke the other. The kids jumped and kicked the car and the cabby, instead of driving away, was trying to start something.

Was in montreal last week for work and had to cab everywhere...i swear they just cannot drive. It's not even like they can't drive in the sense that they drive wrecklessly and break laws but actually do it in a good way..they just can't drive. This applies for almost every single motorist in the city. What is it about montreal and bad drivers? What went wrong? Why do you guys just suck at driving?

The suck comes from all the out of towners trying to negotiate traffic...

I rarely side with Montreal cab drivers because they're f**king retards and can't drive if their life depended on it, but these **** were f**king up his car. if you can't have a mature argument (i.e. not resorting to damaging other people's things) then maybe you deserve a crushed rib cage. that said, the taxi driver shouldn't have panicked as he did and drove back in that direction. he should have just gotten out of there...which he didn't. he circled back. why the f***...

I'm guessing about 6. I mean, a cab runs over a teen in a city in one of its 10 provinces. How long do you expect the entire country of Canada to sustain itself?

lol if that was a jab directed at me then fail because I wasn't even driving.

But really, im not trying to be a dick but the majority of drivers there are terrible, not just the cab drivers. People barely signal lane changes, cutting people off seems to be a national pass time and every other car i see has various dents, dings and scratches..I don't think very many people who have had any sort of time in montreal will disagree with me.

    So, what's the deal?

50% of me says "play stupid games, win stupid prizes...those punks got what they deserved."

    They deserved it.

It's the same type of idiots who rioted, burned cars in Vancouver last summer, and we're crying after they got charged.

    Agreed.

First of all, those kids have no right to attack, damage or physically assault the taxi driver or his vehicle.

Second of all, the cabbie really should've known better than to egg on some possibly drunk and rambunctious kids after a night out.

Third of all, LOL at the Brit's comments. Especially his "J'ai enregistré le!" in French. He was the most sensible and rational one out of all the individuals videotaped.

OK, an Eurofag here has to comment the picture above. Who made that and you, who posted it have both missed the point of presenting a date the way we do. The most often changing digits of the date come first, then the second most often changing and then the least often changing.

Ain't that right. Went to Montreal last year for the GP. Really it's more of he was just crazy rather than him going fast. I seriously think we would have gotten there faster if he didn't drive like a nut job.

And Saint Catherine. Holy Jeebus what a mess. The guys driving Ferraris next to bus loads of Chinamen and taxis must have had a death wish for the car.
