sorry I missed it, just got back from WITW and my Haldex is stuck in AWD. Got a used one coming from CALI, hope it fixes the problem. Anyhow, due the Haldex issues and Money I would have missed that event anyway. Maybe by June I'll be interested in doing a track event.

All my work is done at Texas Track Works in Fort Worth, they do track events almost weekly. DFW has plenty of motorsports, more than Virginia. My car is nearly ready. See you soon at the track.

A few of my friends drive mk III VR6 jetta's, great car. Zack is doing a motor swap this week and Jesse is doing mk IV brake upgrade and full exhaust upgrade.

I love the mk III body style

Jesse just bought set of VOLK GT-P's, very light and super strong.

My car has been acting up on me a tad bit since then though. I think it may be my MAF sensor but when i drive the car does kind a jerking when i am at a steady rpm. Like every half second or so it will lurch and the be normal then lurch then be normal. I went go to kennedale for the 1/8th last sunday. Im going next sunday but i leave May 10 for the NAVY so it will be a bit before i can get back out there. Import faceoff was my first actual competition and i didn't even know it was one until there were about 10 cars left.. Then i realized you could win money! I normally just do it for fun.

Why is it being stuck in AWD a bad thing?

Also i just got enkei pf01's they weigh 17.4 instead of the 28 or so that stocks weighed..

i have ecs lightweight pulleys coming in the mail tuesday and an hpa short shifter coming on friday. Just in time for this sunday at the track.

I was running 13.73 at 99mph as my best time that night. What do y'alls cars run? I just want some input to see if thats good or what i should do better. All i have is weight reduction, cold air intake, UM tune, flapper mod.

I've been to NorthStar RaceWay and Kennedale and TMS for Scion Drag and Brag.

    I run VOLK RE30's = 17 Lbs. flat
Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires = 22 lbs.
    Bilstein PSS9's
Full Gruven adjustable parts in the rear
    Stage 2 Clutchmaster's clutch
Light weight billet steel flywheel = 16 lbs.
    K&N drop in filter
    C2 software

    car weights 3150 lbs

I run 9.0's in the 1/8 consistently, not sure what that would be in the 1/4 mile
I feel that 8.9's are possible, track conditions sucked last time.
I can probably find another 50 lbs. to lose on the car plus a good pass on a sticky surface might yield me an 8.8 1/8 time. PM me next time you going racing. Me and a friend with the Audi TT 225 hp can show up.

I was looking into getting a stage 2 clutch. How do you like yours? I got 8.81 as my fastest at kennedale.

the light flywheel makes noise and if I miss-shift it'll be ugly. Not sure if I'd do the flywheel again, maybe just the OEM one. I dig the stage 2 but not sure if I'd do clutchmaster's again. AutoScope in PLANO screwed me and my clutch feel is not great. The clutch sticks a lot. I'd do a stage 2 or 3 from a different company, that OEM clutch feels like poo poo to me. Stage 2 SPEC clutch with OEM flywheel is a WIN WIN situation.

Before I make any passes I need to adjust my clutch and bleed the clutch. Also need to align the shifter again. I'd feel bad about killing these new Michelins at the strip but they should produce good #'s.

Does it make noise when you are in gear and let the gear slow you down? Mine does that. Its kind of like a air passing by noise. Maybe that is something completely different.. Who knows?! i might have an aftermarket clutch. This car had neuspeed cold air and sway bars so maybe he had the clutch done too?

single mass light weight flywheel chatters at idle.

AUTOSCOPE charged me way too much money and ruined my car. I didn't do any motorsports last year due to problems with the car. I missed WITW too. They will never see my car ever again!

They switched my caliper carriers around causing problems with my brakes, they overcharge for parts and labor and my car stopped like dog SHlT for over a year. Tons of vibration and it pulled hard under heavy braking. The new rotors are scored and I had to throw the HAWK HPS pads in the trash. Wasted money &little performance. I switched the carriers back, added a stiffing kit and installed ATE OEM pads. Now the car stops super hard. Way better than before. I should have done the work myself and saved hundreds while gaining better performance.

I asked them to service the HALDEX and those idiots changed the rear diff. fluid. They did my tranny fluid too. The fluid was cheap, IMO. Noise and vibration from both untill I switched to MOTUL.

My door had scratches to the metal, they damaged my paint while working on my car.

They changed my clutch and flywheel and throw out bearing. The car has had sticking issues since day one. My pressure plate or throw out bearing ain't right. I bleed the clutch and aligned the shifter but it still ain't perfect. Car fights to go into 1st and she sticks with reverse, 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Not sure what the problem is but I hate it. I still drive the car balls out. Sometimes with the clutch in I can feel the car rolling forward. It was an expensive mistake. I HATE THOSE PEOPLE BECAUSE MY CAR WAS WAY BETTER BEFORE THEY EVER TOUCHED IT. I BEEN FIXING THEIR MISTAKES FOR OVER A YEAR AND THEY SAY THEY BUILD TRACK CARS.

THEY CAN'T BUILD TRACK CARS CAUSE THEY CAN'T SERVICE A FREAKING GOLF. THEY USED LOCKING PLIERS TO SERVICE MY FLUIDS CAUSE THOSE IDIOTS DON'T OWN THE TOOLS NEEDED TO DRAIN OUR FLUIDS.

    STAY AWAY
    STAY AWAY
    STAY AWAY FROM AUTOSCOPE

WHEN I WIN THE LOTTO I'LL BUY THAT PLACE AND TURN IT INTO A 7 ELEVEN. STAY AWAY !!

I know what you're talking about! They seem like good people but i got quoted a price last month and this month it was 50 dollars more. Also i was saying i wanted a big brake kit and he told me not to do it.

Rajuncajun has 17lb rims as well and your still 70lbs lighter. Im very curious where u shaved the weight? Did u remove the rear seats?

Yeah the seats are removed! But i only remove them if i am going to race. Its not an everyday thing. Im thinking of constructing a wood panel trunk and removing the seats for good.. (until i get tired of no back seats)
