exhaust inspection question

i want to get a downpipe without a cat or resonator. now how would i go about getting it inspected, or what do i need to do. i have no idea

Find someone who doesn't give a **** about visual inspections. Get a tune or an o2 spacer to rid yourself of the cel you will get for no cat

keep the cat, delete the resonator...

You should pass emissions as long as you keep a cat on. The CEL might come on so you might have to get a spacer, but at my shop that did my down pipe didn't need to put a spacer in and we got no CEL. good luck

If you're going for power you'll just burn the cat up anyway. Ditch it and forget about it

for the most part a visual inspection on an emissions system is kind of being phased out anyways, seeing as the ob2 system is becoming very very advanced. as long as your able to keep your cel off most people wouldn't even think twice about whether or not there is cat on it. Hell.. depending on where your taking the car people might not even tell the difference unless they are seeing the same cars over and over again like had you been going to the dealer for service.
