thanks for all the welcomes guys.
there was a candy white one with 4 doors as well at the dealer where i got mine but it was auto n it was way more expensive then the one i got. it looked really sick.. especially with the windows tinted black..
i wanna keep the car stock for the time being since im gonna be making payments for a while but i know that won't last for very long. hehe. but im fairly new to this scene, don't know much bout wat to do. i know im going to drop it for sure and get some different headlights but thats about it.
any suggestions??![]()

I know exactly what you mean. I have no money for mods either, it all went into the car
I've got cold air on it and I was hoping to smoke out the side mirror lights and side markers.
If I had enough I'd get coils, downpipe/catty, led tailights and an apr chip

Its an ECU flash by the tuining company APR. its the best out there for the GTI. if you wait for the fall/spring sale its only like 700 bucks and it adds around 60 hp, and you can switch between the stock engine mapping and the tuned one

i looked into this myself, and it does not void the warranty, unless your dealer is a total bitch. they cant tell the difference when they go into the ECU, and APR was smart about that. however, if the added boost causes a problem in your engine, its not covered under warranty. its probably best to be upfront about the mod to your dealer though

I just bought the same thing yesterday! Did you take advantage of the 0.9% financing?

I would hate to pay those Calif. sales taxes! Beautiful car! Enjoy it!

oh alright. that makes sense if something were to happen to the engine tho. but for the most that, that doesnt happen right?
well actually mine was used already with 8,000 miles, but its still pretty much new. still has the new car smell.was able to get a 3.9% tho. so thats good.
yea i didnt like it as much, but i know its gonna be worth it. and thanks!

you only think that you'd stop at that point, if you had enough. if you had enough, you'd just think you can do more than that. the list ends up getting longer and longer, until you and your friends and your family realise you have a problem...an addiction...of spending way too much money on your car, and no one is trying anything to stop you, they encourage you and then you're broke.
that is exactly what happens when you think of a nice short easy-to-do mod list. it just gets miles long.
either way,to both of you! congrats on your purchase OP!!!

^^ thats why i dont have a list for the time being. more focused on paying off the car first. hehe.
but there's always extra cash that comes up at sometimes, n thats wer the short list comes in. hehe

Not to jump in uninvited, but I just got my first VW last week as well. I am in the ABQ area and was looking for anyone who knew of a good tuning shop in the area.
