EDIT: I wasn't clear in the title. I'm wondering about '11 GTI springs on an '09 Rabbit

There's a local guy selling some springs off his 2011 GTI for a good price. They're not driver gear springs, just the stock GTI ones.

My understanding is that they'll fit my 09 Rabbit, true? If so how much of drop will I see between stock '11 springs and stock '09 rabbit springs?

Please spare me the "save for coilovers" speech. I'm going with springs for sure. I just want to see if its even worth considering these.

    Thanks

I just realized the title didn't indicate it but the post did. I'm wondering about GTI spring on a Rabbit. Not GTI to GTI.

    No drop?

    Just to clarify.
When I first read the title I thought he was comparing an '11 GTi to an '09 GTi,
which I agree, are the same.

Are the GTi and Rabbit the same stock ride height stock too?
I would not be surprised if they are, the stock GTi seems plenty high to me.

BTW 2006 GTi on stock 2009 GTi springs, 2k miles of settling,
    OEM VW 16" x 6.5" Ditto (6.5Jx16H2 ET50) [VW PN 1K0601025BC]
    205/55R-16 Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R
    i.e Rabbit option size tires

    Front 22-1/2"

    Rear 22"
