I was getting on the freeway this morning and in 6th gear felt power drop, then come back a few seconds later but the car doesn't pull like it should. I'm not sure what revision I have but I do have the latest one on the way. No CEL was thrown and I can still hear the valve I think when I let off the throttle, but it doesn't seem to flutter like normal under load. Think my current one bit the dust?

I'm not sure what I was hitting because I made the horrible choice of buying the most unreliable boost gauge on earth (Concepts in Motion = fail) and it's inoperable at the moment. I was just flashed APR stage II on Fri and haven't put too many miles on it since, so...

It could be your DV failing. Do you have access to a VAG-COM? Although it didn't throw a CEL, you can still scan it and see if it can be any other issues besides the DV.
What I noticed with APR S2, I tend to overboost often so my car goes into limp mode. If it does, I switch the programming back to stock and switch it back to my 91 octane file. Can you switch it to the stock file and see if still has an issue? And switch it back to 91 after that.

I don't have access to VAG-COM unless one of our friendly East Side members has the ability to meet up sometime today? Interesting what you say about limp mode, I'll set the car back to the stock tune when I go out at lunch and report back.![]()

Switched back to stock and things seemed pretty normal. Got on the freeway fine everything was good no seeming loss of power. Got off switched back to 91, and again seemed fine, definitely pulled harder than the stock run. What the hell???![]()

When my diaphragm in my stock DV went out, ever time the waste gate would open, it would sound like a duck. I thought it was pimp, but hey, thats just me. Still replaced it with the Forge/BSH DV relocation kit.
I have REVO Stage 2 and every time i get above 20 PSI, she starts bucking on me. ECU is telling me fuel pressure, and I just noticed my water meth isn't pumping. I gotta take the bumper off to get to the pump and check connections, fuses, hoses.

You can take a peak. It's really easy. Just get under the car and take the few bolts out and disconnect sensors and the diaphragm is right there. Mine was teal and it was worn though where the springs where for the solenoid that would open and close it.
Here are direction on how to remove it from BSH

If you dont have the revision d and are apr stg2 Its probably it. I just had to replace mine last week and it sounds the exact same. The loss in boost should be drastic, shouldn't even take a boost gauge to notice.

Thanks guys! I'm not going to mess with it myself... I find most things I do with my car that should be easy end up being a huge pain in the ass, then I have to explain to the Mrs. why I'm stuck in the garage all night lol! It seems like it must be holding some boost some of the time, and driving it isn't terrible so I'll just have to limp it around in stock mode until I get the new DV.![]()

Sorry was occupied with other things. But yea the new stock DV's are more reliable and should not give you anymore issues.

Man, you would tell me this after I've got one on the way! I should've called you first! If I could get one from you now and get this thing in quicker that would be great. I'll keep the one I've got for Breanna's car or sell it if she has the latest version. Let me know and thanks Jason!

I'm out west also; not quite as far as Goodyear, but just off the Durango curve of the 17. I'm willing to provide garage space, tools and assistance though for sure.

Yes I'm heading to Ryan's on Sun to install the tail lights on the Jetta, problem is the DV is needed on the GTI. If someone has some time maybe Thurs or Fri night and I either get the one I ordered or Jason is willing to hook me up with the one he has, maybe we could do it then? Otherwise I'm free on Sat if either of you guys are? You guys F!@#ing rock thanks so much for the offers to help!
