I usually get around 28-35mpg.

Thought it might be nice to see what Miles Per gallon other 2012 Beetle owners are getting on there 2.5 and 2.0 Turbo.
So far the MFD readout is reporting 26.5MPG in town and 33.5MPG on highway on my 2.0 turbo I will report back with more data from manual calculation and get a few more miles on the car,
I did not know that the turbo's came with paddle shifters, Discovered this yesterday that should make the MPG go down, Don't think I will be using those, Love the car so far Very fun to drive.

In my turbo the mfd reports a little bit high but pretty close to the actual although it took a bit of miles before the read was accurate. I have about little over 4500 miles on my car now and been driving it since end of october. In city it calculates about 22.5 miles to the gallon. In reality based on the trip miles and gallons when filling up i average from 21 miles per gallon ' driving with the dsg manual' to about 22.5 not pushing it. Im using premium fuel 91 octane chevron. Also ive been running the ac since its getting hotter here in vegas.

Vdubgolf is that actual or what the mfd is reading. On mine at first it really over estimated until it got better accuracy with added driving miles. I started tracking mine with logging.

27 MPG* average in 50/50 city/highway driving.

First fill was 22.8, 2nd was 23.4, third was 24.4.
Figured by hand (actually calculator) 'cuz that's how my daddy taught me.

My first tank was 23.4 mpg. Currently on my second tank. Have put 300 miles on it maybe. picked it up with 12 miles. More fun to drive than the 328 it replaced.![]()

The varying "miles to go" at he beginning doesn't bother me so much but I'm amazed at how fast that last 1/8th of a tank goes.
Usually when the low fuel light comes on it says either 30 or 35 miles to empty and it doesn't last near that long.

Absolutely! Better engine first and foremost! You just wiggle your toes on the gas and it scoots along. The BMW had to be pushed, driven hard to appreciate its qualities. The straight six was silky smooth, but at 230hp was a snoozer. Should have ponied up the extra dinero for the 335. Oh well, I like the Beetle, the engine reminds me of the fun I had in my '06 A4 2.oT!![]()
