Only have a couple of these currently in stock. They are "stock" ratio 3.40 first, brand new, with 3rd/4th straight cut, and REM micro polishing.

Gearshop made these by mistake instead of the 2.67 ratio sets. Therefore we are offering special pricing to blow these out. So if you can bear with the ratios it is probably a once in a lifetime chance to get a deal like this.

Ratios are:
1st: 3.40
2nd: 1.93
3rd: 1.32
4th: 1.05

We did back in the day but there are way too many limiting factors, for example even with a gear set they wouldn't be much if any stronger as a stock 02A as the 020 the gears just can't be big enough. Then you have the other things which are better on a 02a like the clutch, ring and pinion options, etc, etc,

If you find 10 people willing to spend about $2500 on a gear set we can make 020 parts.

Can you confirm the ratios? I always though 1st was 3.30

Not sure what specifically you want me to confirm. Yes stock on VR & 1.8t 02A/J is almost always 3.30 and our gear set is 3.40

We refer to it as "stock" ratio because a 3.30 vs 3.40 will be pretty much unnoticeable by most, as opposed to the other sets we offer which come with a 3.00 first or 2.67 first and are a drastic difference.

Yes, that's what I was asking. I know the difference is like 3mph at high rpm, but was curious.

Yea as opposed to the 3.0 and 2.67 being anywhere from 15-25mph depending on tire and rpm
