wooho i live 15 minutes away from #1 and about 45 minutes away from #6.
funny story about saginaw. i went to a bar there a few months ago, and aftewards the friends i was with wanted to get denny's. denny's at 2 in the morning for a bunch of well off whites kids is not a fun place. as we were enjoying our meal a fight broke out between two chicks, about 4 cop cars showed up. i guess at the same place someone was shot about a year before.
I'm actually kind of surprised the numbers are so high here, but with the decline in a lot of manufacturing businesses in the area...i can see how its possible that a lot of folks are now unemployed and trouble. we do live in a relatively safe part of town. we have a dog who sounds a lot meaner than he really is. another thing to note, these statistics are based on 100k of population and the city itself only has about 52k residents. you do see a relatively high poverty rate of nearly 15% and that number goes up for the under-18 group too. after pulling the numbers, there is a statistically higher percentage of robberies, assaults, and thefts. all of which are typical for an area that has lost its employment base and has higher poverty levels. I could localize these as most common to three or four particular areas in the city. the city itself is 40 sq. miles, so you can live in an area that looks really different from a few miles away.

lol @ Lawton, OK. I went to BCT and AIT there at Ft. Sill. I mean it almost makes sense because Lawton was absolutely terrible.
FL is safe

Official Miami Dolphins Thread: Come share in the misery!
So where does the OT rank on this list?
PS: Those states not listed have just elevated themselves to professional level abuse --- where you manage to fully convince the woman that the beating was her fault. MI, and AK are just behind the power curve, must be amateur hour up there.
