Hi All. I'm just curious as to how many miles did your transmission got before it died? When it dies, what caused it? I believe it's only the solenoid that needs replacement and it will be just as good as new. reason i'm asking this is i have 110k miles on my car, still the original transmission. i replaced the fluid multiple times already. i just noticed that when it's cold, and i put it in D, it does not grab the gear right away. any ideas or experiences you have is very helpful. Thank you.

My daughters tranny was still going fairly strong at 156k. I rebuilt it then since the motor was out for rebuild. There was one clutch pack that was starting to go, but probably would have made it a few more k. And it had one bad solenoid causing wrong pressures.

The solenoids and the ribbon are common issues with these trans, besides valve wear in the valve body. A failing solenoid or bad connection on the ribbon strip can cause many problems and overall trans failure.
