Hello!

I've been a viewer on here for a couple of years now for my 96 Golf mkIII colourconcept and always found solutions to my issues, but this one I am struggling with.

In September I bought an Audi A4 automatic and it was going well until on the drive home tonight it appears that the autobox was having a few issues. When the car heated up (after sitting in traffic) there was a slight juddering on acceleration in all gears, and then the change from 4th to 5th was welcomed by a loud bang and a jerking movement, as if the car jumped out of gear. This happen in full auto, as well as while using TipTronic. I stopped the car, turned the ignition off, and then drove problem free the rest of the way home!! Any ideas what I may be facing here?

I live in Poland so the car is LHD and originally from Germany. It will be going to the mechanic, but I would like an idea of what to expect before hand. The fluid and filter were changed recently.
