    What is a 24v block, head, ecu, and wire harness worth?

    hey there all. i have an opportunity coming my way to purchase a running 24v vr6 motor out of a MK4 GLI Jetta. The motor does have a boat load of miles, just over 200,000 to ballpark it. If the price is right, I plan on taking it off my buddys hands and building her up on the side.

    What is a fair price to pay for the following items I listed in the title?

    engine block
    cylinder head
    ecu
    wire harness

    Thank you in advance to the people more knowledgeable on my motors big brother. Im a 12v guy

    In this economy with that kind of mileage, no more then $800...on a good day.

    can anyone else agree on 800 or do they feel another figure is more accurate?

    I see $800 being fair.. As long as it was pretty well maintained.. I would pop the VC off and inspect the head.. if it looks all gunked up.. start making a better deal....

    24v motor will go for a long time...
