Gt28 set up can i drive. To lets say the parts store on giac ko4 tune. I dont mean beat on it drive hsrd stay off boost...will i be able to drive like this
Ko4 coudnt hang at 18 psi its on its way out, so no meth for me i could go oem ko4 or even gsp ko4 again. But mine as well go gt28( dont hate on this) ebay turbo ebay manifold. I know it wont last if its drivi bb hard but if i can get away with ko4 tune for a short while. Then its fine. Then uograde to bb gattett gt28..
Will. It idel fine and drive under 2500 fine. I dont see why it would not work. Even playin with it i feel like it would be ok. My ko4 tune is very rich and i can always add or subtract fuel psi...... untill i get a real tune for it amd mstching injectors
I got away with big 16g on a d16 stock injecotrs for. Months untill i got bigger injectors n tune. Drove just fine
If going GT28xx (Dual BB unit) you need to change the rest of your hardware, so just fork up the extra dough and get a reputable turbo. Heck, even the Garrett GT28 (GT Journal Bearing T25 unit) would be a cost efficient option.
If going through the process, do it right the first time around. Otherwise, just source out a used k04 for cheap. Or better yet, rebuild it yourself if the blades are still good.
