Went to work for 5 hours, picked up some stuff for the baby room, went to dinner with the girlfriend, got the oil on the Subby changed, confirmed my urologist appointment for tomorrow, napped 4 hours, woke up in intense pain and here I am- 5:25 AM and wide awake with throbbing pain.

woke up at 6:30, went to work for 7:00am, came home at 6pm, made some hotdogs, and ive been sitting on my ass watching tv ever since.

this is prettty much how the rest of my week looks, to be honest.

Spent the vast majority of the day breaking in our hotel room.

I've got a bunch of high end vintage audio gear I'm clearing out, restored Marantz 4270 - better than new condition; Pioneer SX-5590, 8/10; Concept 16.5, 8/10 cosmetically - 10/10 function. Various high end vintage speakers: Rectilinear Research, AR, Kenwood, Infinity, McIntosh, Leslie 251. PM me for details, clearing out to finance home theater upgrade.

went to the bank in the morning and sealed the deal on a DBP Mk4 R32, then went to work (currently second shift) until around 11:40pm, then stopped at the grocery store for a few things i didn't get last (too hung over). currently eating some spaghetti and waiting on my laundry to finish while watching Conan (TBS West Coast!).

Also, what's your goal? See car stuff, or see historic Japan?

The best way to travel is to get a JR pass: http://www.japanrailpass.net/eng/en001.html

It's expensive up front, but it gives you unlimited access to their train system, including their bullet trains (with some limited exceptions), which is actually one of my favorite ways to travel.

For a 1 week trip, I'd do something like:
    Fly into Tokyo
    Spend 2 days there
    Take Bullet train to Kyoto
    3 days in Kyoto
Visit Osaka for a day (it's super close to Kyoto)
Then head back towards Tokyo, but stop at Atami for a night of wonderful hot spring action.

Feel free to email me for more detailed answers: colin@kcmachine.com

Thanks for the info. That sounds like a good plan.

I'll be there about 10 days. I'm not really into cars. I'll be there for a little business and then to explore and have some fun in the cities. It is several months away. I'll have plenty of time to do some research, but still might ask you for some recommendations later. Thanks

I took a couple of years off and saved my money, I am now 25. Nothing wrong with doing something else, yes ECU.

I managed to get through in 4 years not counting the time taken to work.

BTW Univ of Texas has a ton of accreditable online classes, that are worth looking into.
