Hey Guys just got me a 94 rado, i had a 91 G60 15 years ago, so this is all new to me again, i want to start building it inside out... what do you guys recomend to start with.... it has 330000 km runs ok, but i want to make it as bullet proof as i can (mechanically), because i want to take it on track and autox.... and i want to keep it NA, any input will help.... i will post pics of what it looks like now and start the build... I have already got some parts like , neuspeed wires, air filter, braces, chip, but those are just bolt on's..... thanks in advance....

Beat way to make a VR bullet proof is to do the timing chains, then you can forget about it for 100k miles

haha, no it has a non functional sunroof.... i have a passat glass one ready for install.... i found the car in a farm down in abbotsford it was hidden under a tarp, one day i was driving by and i saw the shape of the tarp and stoped and looked under and it was a corrado.... asked the guy if it was for sale, he said yes , and the rest is history....

Sweet find![]()
There are a lot of good suggestions in here, however I hope that you'll be researching them in further detail. For example, poly bushings are generall recommended against, but see both sides to it and decide for yourself.
Lookin forward to some better pics of this beauty![]()

Every inch of engine plastic that is used by the engine needs to be changed! Thermostathousing etc, change all the temp sensors, fluids and check all the grounds for oxidation.
Change all the ignition parts and the exhaust hangers. Not needed as they may work but if you want it bulletproof then you need to be up to date with every part!
The brakes can be a piece of sh** so go over all the brakelines for cracks or oxidation and similar.
Give it a good buff and wax also, its a nice colour for sure!
A pro tip is to only use quality parts.
