If your interested I can help you find another

    What models did you have?
Sorry if I seem like a hater, I like my cars with boxy angles and no creature comfort

There's a bunch of them hidden around here in the mountains

Anyone who wants a late 80s cabriolet? I found a purple(midnight blue) one with white leather interior

It runs good, it's in front of Shelby medical center in alabaster

The day I stop daily driving mine is when I have a nice shop To make it a show car

This is my first Mk2. I always thought they were too new when I had Mk1s, but now that I have it I dig it. Nothing special, but I have lots of plans for it. I'll post updates over the next few weeks.

Awesome rides ! Especially that cabby, I owned 2 of them
I love those forged carat wheels on that jetta

I'll post some pics of my old rides later: let's see more people's rides!

If there's enough of us we could get something going

    Checking in.

Haven't really gotten too far into Hilde the Ghettowagen, budget's been kinda slim lately.
After a ton of thought, I'm aiming for simple OEM+, keeping the 8V and getting rid of the rediculous 17s as soon as I can find a suitable set of rims/tires.

After looking at everyone else's rides, I'm almost embarrassed to post pics, but I haven't had it long enough to make dramatic improvements.

    Yeah, it's an 8v. If I wanted a sporty car, I'd buy an R.

My first vdub 1 of 5 with guinea blue paint and all white leather 1989 I sold it to a chick Drove it through a few hurricanes in Florida

This is the one I bought after selling the cabby it was a Audi 3a /jh hybrid pulled to 160 easily
Zender air dam and Wing made it suck to the road
It was hit by an illegal alien in Dallas the night it became a classic after that I had a midnight blue cabby I sold it before I moved to Oregon. It had the 3a/jh in it and gawd it was redonkulously scary
fast a bad computer made it have constant cold map fuel looping 5-10/mpg and sounded like a v8

    Bought his one in Oregon

1980 scirocco S 16v 2.0 dual tt euro downpipe open no exhaust it was t boned by an old man you could hear me 2 miles away so I know he was deaf

Then I got the black rocco on the first Post in this thread, it was wrecked, torn unibody missing a door and on fire before i got it home after buying it.
so use that as inspiration.. People told me to scrap it and refused to work on it and weld it or even let me use a welding machine Because of liability, it probably would have gone to a junkyard if I wasn't the most stubborn mfker you'll ever meet

Pictures do it more justice but it's a really nice car despite rattle canning matte black and some bondo

As a result of my adventures I've learned how to do so much, including welding, wiring, transmission changing, brakes, and almost everything about cis/cis-e I plan on learning more body work and paint skills soon a respray and she will be lookin nice

I like those deep dish wheels very similar to my 10/13s on the red rocco

I've got a Kamei rear spoiler at a friends and a new windshield(mine is cracked) but that's all the way in Oregon, I really want a wide body kit from the 1974/5 racing rocco:

    My dream is :
I want to be able to drive down dirt roads/desert/mountains,
With those fenders above and raised up a few inches with 13x10s with all weather tires
If you like having more room/handling it's the way to go,
Not as much death wobble at high speeds (120+)
    as a cabriolet or gti

If I can find a damn syncro I'll do a all wheel drive conversion

I dream about Vw builds all day lol

    Sup having a good day?
I had a interview at a Vw dealership here know more about work Monday.
I'm supposed to change a Audi 6speed tt transmission maybe next week.

It has a broken shift selector fork the guy says, it's going into a shop to be rebuilt if that's what the problem is. I'm only going to get 5-700 for changing it out. I don't mind..

    It's a 540hp beast, wish I could get his wrecke one for a swap/conversion

This was me and my79 15 years ago. It's dated, but I loved that thing. Got best in class NOPI 1997.

and this was my 84 GTI back in 1995.

Been debating on returning the fuel system back to stock on the car. PO removed the accumulator tank/pump/regulator and put an inline pump in the mix, thus causing most of my idle/cold start problems if I'm right.

And he needs a kick to the nuts for cutting the rear springs. Those fvckers aren't cheap. I have the struts, just gotta source a set of springs.

And a headliner, why is it that every beater I've bought over the past few years doesn't have one?
    Yeah, it's an 8v. If I wanted a sporty car, I'd buy an R.

Man some cool Gtis nice trophy

I installed a Volvo 240 intake on my cis today and removed the airbox I used a band clamp and cheese cloth until I get a k&n cone

Has a really nice throttle response and way louder

I ran a bottle for a catch can

I'll get a pic when I get home, you unbolt the lower intake to a Volvo cis box and bolt it onto yours, keep the lower half of your old box to hold the Volvo unit ,

Instead of letting air swirl around it goes straight into the Venturi plate

It's sounds pretty awesome, it makes a lot of whistling noises and sounds almost like low psi turbo
A lot more throttle response and louder engine noise

And it looks nice being metal and all

I was gonna sell it but I'm glad I didn't

Leave your old lower intake in to hold the Volvo unit

Rear side shows redirection of air and how it sits on old unit

I used a cheesecloth rag & clamp to make my own filter until I relocate my battery and run tubing to use a k&n conical filter

    my other daily "hauler"

my soon to be next daily.
I have a jetta wagon but only drive it when I have to. Love the rawness of the early cars and have always had one and used it as a daily since my first scirocco in 85.
