All the cams I have seen are drop-in other then the regrinds from dBilas which require lifter shims. Ferrea does offer lifter shims for stock base circle cams for stability at high revs (7k++)

I have a 24v vr6 and want to install 268/264 cams when i install my r32 engine. I was wondering if I would have to make any modifications to get the cams to fit? Shim the valves, replace anything, etc?
I know the 264/260 are a direct swap.
Also what gains amount of gains would i be looking at. I know the 264/260 give you 23hp 16tq but havent seen anything for the 268/264

Schrick 268/264 are rated by Schricka t 29 HP gain, ALONE. Techtonics was 23 HP. IMO, They sound better, but it also depends on your exhaust setup. The gains however with a Tune, i can only speak to a United Motorsport tune, is really good.
With a Catback, 268's, Tune, Intake, maybe Higher flowing Cats, i can see around 240 wheel HP if not more.

i am planing to dyno.. i have schrick 268/264, um tune. tt downpipes and 2.5 inch exhaust w/no cat. and just a k&n intake... i will try to post up the results as soon as i can.i am curious because i always wonder if i made the right decision to get these cams. or get the more aggressive 272/272 or paying the extra for schrick in general.

Oh come on Paul you know you want to build another VR6. It's in your blood to drive a Staggered 6 that sounds like beast and drives like a bull with its tail on fire.
