    Hey guys
My tails leak, the seals are crap and the driver side has a chunk missing.

I bought some (junky) cofran smoked tails but the bulb trays are different from the US cars.

If you have a good pair of Fox I tails or bulb trays for cofran smoked tails lmk, PM me with what you have and a price to 50312

    thx

    steve

There is a thread in the Fox forum on customizing the smoked tails and US Fox I trays that was started by Hansel2 - it wasn't so bad at all. I used silicone around all the seams to play it safe. I think they look great.

Otherwise I have a pair if you want to stay stock - no cracks or leaks. Are the Cofran new? I'd maybe figure out a trade type situation to have back-ups.

The cofran are not new, in fact who ever had owned them before (before BJWhite that is) had brushed something, maybe tinted lacquer, on them that in essence ruined them. I sanded most of it off one with 1200 / 1500 grit paper and then buffed it out and went to mount it before I found out that the trays didn't fit.

Once I figured that out I went back and replaced the seal on my right side and remounted it. If I have a chance I'll post up a pic of the good vs. bad so you can see what it is...it's rather funny...and sad at the same time.

My assumption is that in order to make the trays fit you have to cut away everything that isn't part of the end clips....I'll search for the thread to see if that's what happens.

    thx
    steve
